Ephesians 6 is an interesting way of concluding the chapter. The older I get, the more I feel indipendant from my parents. I know I don't always give them the respect they deserve. I believe it has a lot to do with humbling myself.
As I get older I want to continue to grow in my faith. I believe that the growing of our faith happens when we are arming ourselves in the way the text explains. I think it is interesting that Paul is wrapping up the letter in this way. His passions must have been for the readers of the original letter to stand strong no matter what the situation. He wanted them to be motivated beyond all things to stand for their faith.
I pray I focus as much as Paul wanted the people of Ephesus to. I want to focus on my faith and drawing my relationship closer to him. I am fortunate to have my wife who supports me and is willing to be on this journey by my side.
